As spring arrives, our team turns its attention to one of the most visible parts of our community: landscaping. Beautiful grounds do not happen by chance. They come from thoughtful planning, seasonal preparation, and steady attention to detail.
After winter, I take a proactive approach to refreshing our outdoor spaces. My goal is to keep them visually appealing, safe, and enjoyable for residents. As the Plant Operations Director at Ridgemere Senior Living, I focus on the steps that help our community look its best each spring.

For the spring refresh, my team evaluates areas that need attention. We place a strong focus on first impressions. We want the front of the community to feel welcoming for residents, families, and visitors.
To support that goal, we make sure the fountain is running, trash is picked up, and the landscaping looks clean and well maintained.
Our team is currently waiting for the landscapers to plant flowers and repair the sprinkler system. We also have a schedule in place for power washing walkways and entryways.
One common issue during spring startup is a sprinkler system that does not work properly. For the upcoming season, I plan to monitor the sprinkler system more closely. This will help us identify and address issues quickly.
It is easy to see the finished product, but real success comes from teamwork. Coordination, accountability, and pride help bring each project together. These efforts ensure Ridgemere Senior Living continues to meet the standards residents expect while setting the tone for the months ahead.
